Mandalay Newsletter Feb 2021: Unpacking Common Waste Operation Challenges

The Mandalay team has been incredibly busy over the summer months and there are a lot of exciting things that we have planned for 2021.

For our customers, a key area of focus will be to gain your direct input into prioritising future development investment. We are currently gathering all feedback received throughout the past year, and in the coming weeks invitations will be circulated in relation to our future product development roadmap. This will give you the opportunity to provide further feedback on where we should put our focus in the coming months.

We've seen a tremendous uptake from customers who are looking to improve the services provided to their community, and we have a lot more innovation coming in that space. Plus, we are starting to build some great case studies with customers who were early adopters of the technology. We're looking forward to continuing to share this journey over the coming months.

From a business point of view I'm really proud of our team. The COVID-19 pandemic period for us has been incredibly tough, but our investment in cloud technology and cloud-based support systems has supported our ability to improve service to you during those times.

With the waste collection and management industry changing rapidly in the face of growing population pressure, increasing regulatory compliance and most recently the unique challenges of COVID-19, innovative data architecture is now an essential requirement for successful waste management facilities.

In turn, data and its integrity and accountability are becoming more crucial, with government legislation and community interest demanding answers.

Recognising this trend, the City of Darwin engaged Mandalay Technologies – launching the company’s naus Intelligence Platform at Shoal Bay Waste Management Facility in October 2020.
