A Message from Simon

Welcome to Mandalay's March newsletter. We're now one year on from when we started working from home and for many people, this has now become the norm.
Understandably morale was tested early on during the transition, however, much of the Mandalay team has adjusted really well and we've built a strong cadence within and across our teams.

The reason I reflect is that we have an interactive poll with our staff each week to check in on their state of mind, feelings towards the company, how they are progressing with their work, and their relationship to the team and other business objectives. It has been interesting to witness our journey as a team over the past 12 months and, from my point of view, I wanted to highlight the importance of individuals understanding what they need to do to have a positive and clear mental headspace that will allow them to lead and meaningfully interact with the people who rely on them from both a professional and personal capacity. What are your strategies for making a success out of this forced change on our lives?

As always, I would love to connect with you so please reach out if you need support in any way.

2020 Resident Waste Insights
Part 2 - Resident Awareness and Usage of Services
Are Australians aware of the waste services available to them and are those services being used as frequently as Councils expect? Continuing on from Part 1 of our 2020 Resident Waste Insights blog series, Simon continues to look more deeply at the data gathered in Mandalay's 2020 Waste Report.

Did You Miss: Part 1 - How Much Do
Your Residents Know?
In this video, Simon revisits the first part of this blog series. As identified within the report, there is confusion around recycling within the community. The need for standardisation of services, education, and personalisation of messaging is critically important to getting consumers on board the journey.

Future Product Development Planning
Customer Surveys Have Been Sent
Mandalay's Product Team has started the planning process for the FY21/22 period. Surveys have now been sent to customers asking for feedback on features.

Over the past 12 months we have taken note of feedback, suggestions, and challenges and now is the chance for customers to identify which items are the most important.
Next steps...
  • Survey Results will be shared in a webinar. Invitations will be circulated in the coming weeks.
  • Features identified as being most important will then go through Mandalay's budgeting process with the final plan to be communicated in July.
