Season’s Greetings from the Mandalay Team and welcome to our last newsletter for 2023!


Over the last little while I’ve had the opportunity to see many of you in person, which has been tremendous. From the teams I’ve spent time with and the conversations I’ve had, I get the overarching feeling that individuals and teams are busier than ever before, and that’s us included.


I’m also grateful for the recent and rare chance we had to gather most of our staff together in one place. It was a great time to reflect on the achievements of the year, the growth of our customers, our team and our products.

Heading into the Christmas period, it reminds me of a book I read several times in my early days called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. It’s a book I highly recommend and yet there was one habit I never fully appreciated until more recent times. Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw is about taking the time for renewal so that you’re in a place to be able to give it your best.


I’d encourage you during the time you have off, short or long, to ask yourself the question – what do you need to do to come back in 2024 to be able to give your best for your family and your team? I’m spending 20 minutes each day doing some really active stretching (here's the program I'm using) to increase mobility as I travel frequently and often feel very tight. This will hopefully become a habit I can continue into next year.

Mandalay’s Support Team will remain available as normal on all non-public holiday days over the Christmas and New Year period. Support requests may be logged as normal via Mandalay’s Customer Service Portal - support@mandalay.zendesk.com. Or by calling the team on 07 3010 7900.

If you require urgent assistance regarding the ability for sites to process transactions outside normal business hours and including public holidays, please contact Mandalay's support line on 07 3010 7900 and follow the prompts to connect to an on-call technician. Non-urgent requests can be quoted and attended to upon request.

Connecting with Customers Across Australia in 2023

What an amazing and busy year it has been! Throughout 2023 Kumar, Shelby and Emily from our Applications Team and Brendon, our Head of Customer Success, have travelled across Australia to visit 58 customers in person to deliver training, offer implementation support and to add value to your operations.  


Our wider team have also been busy running webinars and user forums along with attending and presenting at key industry events all over the country to keep current and prospective customers informed about the ways we are improving our software and to demonstrate how others are using our software to enhance their day-to-day operations. 


We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone our team had a chance to spend time with both virtually and in person during 2023. Your warm welcomes and sincere feedback have been appreciated, and seeing your facilities in action highlights the reasons why we do what we do. 


We hope to visit with even more of you across Australia during 2024. 

February 2024 Event

Mandalay User Forums in Victoria

We will be holding 2 user forums in February 2024 with Wyndham City Council in Victoria kindly hosting this event. Both days are full day face to face events that will give attendees a chance to spend time with local government peers and learn what they are doing, what challenges they have and and how Mandalay is investing in products to service your needs. 

We look forward to seeing everyone who attends this event next year!
