Hi ,

Our customers continue to find new and innovative ways to improve service delivery, adapt to regulatory change, and get more value from the Mandalay platform. One great example is Dubbo Regional Council's new approach for bulk waste services shared below. It's always encouraging to see our technology being used in practical ways that make a real difference for both operators and the communities they serve.

We're also continuing to invest heavily in the Mandalay platform as part of AMCS, with a strong focus on helping customers stay ahead of industry requirements. In this edition, you'll find an update on the latest regulatory enhancements we've delivered across NSW, Queensland and Tasmania to ensure compliance remains as simple and seamless as possible. By taking the complexity out of regulatory reporting, your teams can focus on running efficient operations.

Another area receiving significant attention is customer experience. As part of our ongoing investment in support services, we're preparing to transition Mandalay Support to the new AMCS Customer Support Portal in September. The new portal will provide greater visibility of support requests, improved access to knowledge resources, and a more modern support experience overall.

I'd also like to thank everyone who joined our recent customer webinar. The engagement, questions and feedback we receive during these sessions are invaluable and play an important role in shaping our product roadmap. Watch this space as we intend to hold more webinars in the near future.

As always, thank you for your continued partnership and feedback. Your insights help guide where we invest, what we build, and how we continue to support the waste and resource recovery industry.

Dubbo Regional Council Customer Story

Enhance Flexibility with Voucher-to-Booking Functionality

Dubbo Regional Council has recently introduced a new way for residents to manage bulk waste services, providing greater flexibility and convenience.

Rather than offering a combination of one booking and one voucher, the council now issues two vouchers that residents can redeem when needed.

These vouchers can then be easily converted into bookings, allowing residents to schedule services at a time that suits them. This approach gives customers more control over how and when they access council waste services, while helping Dubbo Regional Council deliver a more flexible and customer-friendly experience.

Regulatory Updates

NSW, QLD and TAS

We continue to keep Mandalay aligned with changing regulatory requirements across Australia through a range of recent system updates. In NSW, we have added eight new waste type classifications following the EPA's July 2026 Waste Levy Guidelines and corrected a minor waste type code labelling issue to align with EPA standards.

In Queensland, Regulatory Management has been updated to support DETSI's new QWDS Version 5.0 file specification, ensuring ongoing compliance with monthly levy reporting requirements.

In Tasmania, we have delivered the second phase of the 2026 NRE reporting update, including a new Tas EPA Monthly Levy Return 2026 export and enhancements to the Tas EPA Movement Data Export to support the revised NRE reporting framework from 1 July 2026.

These updates have been applied automatically, with no changes required to your existing workflows, products, pricing, or reporting processes. If you need assistance setting up any of the new NSW waste types or have questions about regulatory reporting, please contact our support team via the Customer Service Portal.

Mandalay Support Transition

AMCS Customer Portal

From 7 September 2026, Mandalay Support will transition from Zendesk to the new AMCS Customer Support Portal, powered by Salesforce Service Cloud. The new portal will provide an improved support experience, greater visibility of support requests, access to knowledge articles, and enhanced reporting capabilities.

Following the transition, all new support requests will need to be submitted through the AMCS Customer Support Portal, while our support phone number, (02) 9499 6222, will remain unchanged. No action is required at this stage. Customers will receive portal login details and access instructions closer to the go-live date, with open support cases automatically migrated to the new system.
