In recent times we’ve been excited to welcome a number of new NSW based organisations. One of the predominant reasons for that change has been increased recognition of the importance of reporting within their organisations, to both internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

That success is pleasing, but really it's the result of a gradual evolution of our thinking over many years and how we apply it to our product.

Around a decade ago, one of our aspirations was to get to a place where reporting was not just financial, but also tied to an organisation’s diversion goals. In the case of private facilities within a jurisdiction, ultimately that data could be aggregated in some form to help prove the overall success of diversion within that community. We’re starting to see councils being able to use our reporting services for exactly that purpose.

We want to thank our customers for their support as your efforts and commitments support our ongoing contribution towards enabling superior waste and diversion outcomes for your communities.

    Welcome to the Team
    Emily Whittaker
    Meet Emily Whittaker – our brand-new Application Specialist here at Mandalay. With over 15 years of experience working in the tech industry in similar roles where she looked after everything from implementation and project planning right through to the installation of IT and phone systems for customers, she is the perfect person to provide support and help you out with your application queries.
    Emily is keenly learning all about the WARR industry and has taken to her new role quickly, answering calls and responding to tickets to help you get the most out of your Mandalay applications. Emily is highly technical and is fast becoming an essential member of our support team.

    She takes great enjoyment from assisting customers to get the most from their Mandalay software, particularly when it results in real operational and data benefits. Emily is the type of person who likes to grow, set goals and likes to know how to do everything, and we are so happy to have her join the team. Welcome, Emily!

    FM Data Export Product
    Late last year we announced that we were working on a new data export product that was due to become available in the first half of this year. Progress is being made and the product is on track for beta testing with customers to commence during March.
    The FM Data Export Product is being specifically designed to export data. The export process will run in the background so you will be able to continue working on other tasks and you will receive an email once the data export is ready to access.  
    Currently, data is exported via Mandalay’s Web Based Reporting (WBR) which can often be a lengthy and disruptive process depending on the amount of data you are trying to export. The new FM Data Export Product will significantly improve this experience.
    What to expect from Release 1
    • Release 1 will be included with your standard Facility Core Product (Mandalay CS) subscription…. no additional subscription will be charged.
    • The FM Data Export Product will be available within Facility Management from the naus Platform.
    • Expect to see the type of data that you currently export such as Product Sales and Ticket Details.

    Our friends at Resource Hub have prepared a summary of Waste Levy changes coming to Queensland and have put this helpful information into a downloadable guide for you.
    This guide includes the introduction of a new third waste levy zone, new levy rates for the next 10 years, changes to exemptions and how this may impact our Queensland customers. This download also includes a page discussing the changes to Local Government MSW Advanced Payments.

    Product Update
    Facility Analytics & Reporting
    If you have access to the premium subscription of Facility Analytics & Reporting you may have noticed that the dashboard has a new look.
    In addition to the new look, reports available within the premium subscription are now able to be customised to suit your requirements. This is the next exciting step within this analytics product and will allow you to view your data the way you want.

    Tip of the Month
    Do You Know This Transaction Shortcut?
    Click the 'Repeat Last' button on your transaction screen to quickly repeat a transaction for a vehicle that's in high rotation.

    When using ticketing within our Facility Core Product, simply process the transaction as per the standard transaction process. After the licence is selected, the 'repeat last load' icon is visible on the right-hand side. Select the 'repeat last' button then proceed with the ticket. It's that easy!

    The first LAWMAC meeting for 2022 will be hosted by Townsville City Council in April.
    LGAQ Waste Forum
    Postponed until 4-6 July 2022
    This LGAQ hosted event will be held over three days at Brisbane's Royal International Convention Centre. Originally due to take place during March, this conference has now been postponed until 4-6 July.
